    Thinking a bit beyond the intended, I wanted to put a light in a 14 inch lighthouse for my koi pond’s island. However, I needed something small that would go inside and the dot light looked like it would work, and it does work better than the light I had in the lighthouse for years. Yes, it goes a bit contrary to directions, but 2 dots now light the darkness I hated for months. The waterfall to the left has a spotlight on it, but the lighthouse adds so much – wish I could figure out how to send you a picture – I’m not too good with my new windows 10.     The Dock Dot lighting is a great product. Easy to install, perfect for marking the edges at night and it does not take up room on the walkway like torch lights would. The Cree led’s are just bright enough to be functional without being blinding.

    2 suggestions. For installation if your using the 20’ cable option, order a couple of 10’ cables for any shorter intervals you might have and have a 3/4 paddle bit to drill out the hole for the wiring. Instructions call for 3/8” bit but, not close to big enough to fit the light’s wire crimp through. Also buy additional outdoor wire clamps, Dekor does not supply enough with the kit.

    Great product from a reasonable price to quality standpoint.

    The product is excellent and the application I used the product for turned out beautifully. As a DIY guy, I found the installation instructions didn’t match the product that was delivered. I also found the Forstner bit dull and time consuming. Good thing I had my own set to speed up the process. After drilling the hole with the Frostner bit the next step involved drilling a hole to run the wires. The hole size specified would not allow the wires to pass through because of a large wire joiner running from the light. To accommodate the wire joiner, I had to drill a 3/4″ hole to receive the wires and joiner. Furthermore, after going on line to view videos, the examples in the videos didn’t match the product received. Re-think your instructions and installation videos and you get five gold stars from me.
